A Certified Management Accountant, business owner, business coach and trainer, author, and published poet, Kim has over two decades of experience in the Business and Finance arena.
As a leader and mentor to small business owners and having guided organizations from $2 to $17 million dollars in revenue in under two short years, Kim understands that individual leadership from the inside out is what facilitates change and inspires visions.
She is the founder and President of Kidz Make Cents, an organization dedicated to empowering children ages 3 through 17 to “lead with heart” using financial literacy and leadership skills as fundamental guiding principles.
A Certified Trainer in Accelerated Learning Technologies, Kim has worked along side some of the top trainers and coaches in the world and is well respected for her unique, creative and fun approach to helping youth feel empowered, understand money and learn basic money skills.
Using the principles she teaches, Kim has moved from an adult life driven by a scar-city-based mentality to a life flourishing with brilliance, success and abundance. A re-cipient of a long list of awards and honors including the Certified General Accountants Society and Peak Potentials Training awards for Outstanding Achievements, she is the #1 resource when it comes to money management information for youth.
With three children of her own, ages 5, 8 and 12, Kim understands the importance of money management and teaching this skill at an early age. The financial hazards adults face as a result of their parents not teaching them about the importance of money management can have long-lasting effects.
Like any other language, the language of money is better taught at an earlier age. This is what drove Kim to pass this informa¬tion on to parents and children. “Seeing this, I felt inspired to teach children financial literacy and help parents gain awareness that the sooner their children start learning about money, the easier it is for the whole family.”
She loves working with children and inspir-ing them to embrace their natural talents and use all the tools at their disposal to achieve personal success…and to enjoy life in the process.
Kim resides in Edmonton, Alberta with her family and is a member of the Early Child-hood Professional Association of Alberta, Alberta Home and School Councils’ Asso¬ciation, Child and Youth Care Association of Alberta, the Children’s Institute of Litera¬ture, the Writer’s Guild of Alberta, the Ed¬monton Chamber of Commerce and she is a Chartered member of Toastmasters Inter-national
